Neelambaree Prasad
A pharmacologist by training and an Odissi practitioner, Neelambaree has learnt in the guru-shishya parampara for over twenty-five years, under Guru Debi Basu and the legendary Padmavibhushan (Late) Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She continues the tradition in her own teaching, especially with children and strongly believes that dance does not just teach dance, but inculcates discipline, resilience, listening and quiet confidence in the young.
Based in north London, she has performed and curated at and for The Nehru Centre, and led workshops at Sadler's Wells. She is the founder and director of ClimArts - a global organisation that brings artists and scientists together to create climate stories of solutions, using art as a tool.
Her multi-award-winning film, The Resilient River, in collaboration with a geographer at King's College, London, has been screened at the New York Climate Week in 2025 and the Skoll World Forum in 2023. Most recently, she mentored a ballet dancer from the English Youth Ballet and collaborated with scientists at Harvard University to create a film on coral reefs, their loss, and recovery. For Neelambaree, dance is a way of life.
Shankari Mridha
Sankari Mridha is a Bharatanatyam performer, choreographer, and educator, and the Founder & Artistic Director of Sankari School of Arts, UK.An ISTD-qualified dance educator and active performer, she is passionate about preserving the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam while bringing its beauty and expressive depth to audiences and inspiring the next generation.
