Hemantika is the annual festival of  Sujata Banerjee Dance Company (SBDC), celebrating the beauty and vibrancy of Classical Indian Dance in the UK. Now in its 10th year, the festival continues SBDC’s mission of preserving tradition while inspiring creativity and community through dance.

There will be Panel discussion with Mira Kaushik OBE, Piali Ray OBE, Sujata Banerjee MBE, Performances by SBDC artists.

A special highlight of this year’s celebration is a solo performance by the legendary Kathak exponent, Bidushi Saswati Sen — one of India’s most senior artists of the Lucknow Gharana, a disciple of Pandit Birju Maharaj, and recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
