Hemantika Festival 2023: An Indian classical Dance Festival

SBDC's much-anticipated Hemantika Dance Festival is back for 2023 (3 November- 25 November)

Hemantika is now a mainstay of the UK dance calendar and one of the most well-regarded dance festivals in South Asian Dance. The festival is well-established and has been running since 2016.

The festival always features unique collaborations between dance styles, students and renowned dancers from all over the world.

This year's overarching theme is number '8'. Not only is it eighth year of Hemantika but this number has significance in numerology as it is the number which reflects balance, karma and is associated with infinite possibilities. It is also a number which resonates with authority and self-confidence. It is considered to be a lucky number in a variety of cultural and religious contexts
