Hemantika Launch Event
The evening will feature a dynamic panel discussion with leading voices in the South Asian dance landscape, reflecting on the evolution and future of the art form in the UK.
Audiences will also enjoy performances by Sujata Banerjee Dance Company (SBDC), showcasing both emerging and established artists, and a special solo performance by the legendary Saswati Sen, offering a rare opportunity to witness the depth and elegance of the Lucknow gharana.
A celebration of legacy, leadership, and live performance — all in one evening.

This evening will feature an exceptional line-up of national and international artists, showcasing the richness and diversity of the arts.
Highlights include:
– A solo performance by the legendary Saswati Sen
– “Together We Can” – Recreating SBDC’s signature piece with large numbers and new casts
– Performances from SBDC students and youth group, celebrating the energy and passion of the next generation
