Saswati Sen is one of India’s most distinguished Kathak artists and the senior-most disciple of the legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj. Renowned internationally for her grace, abhinaya, and mastery of the Lucknow gharana, she has played a key role in shaping Kathak’s global presence. A frequent visitor to the UK, Saswati Sen has performed and taught extensively across British institutions and festivals, inspiring generations of dancers through her powerful artistry and deep cultural insight.
