Performance Day 1: Saturday 2 November
We open the Festival with collaborations between some of the best in British established & emerging artists across the rich variety of Indian classical and other distinct dances:

Kathak & Odissi duet: Performed by Urja Thakore and Parvati Rajamani

Kathak & Uday Shankar style duet: Performed by Vidya Patel and Protima Chatterjee

Kathak & Bharatnatyam trio: Performed by Veidika Chohan, Uma Venkataraman and Sundaresan Ramesh

Kathak & Kuchipudi duet: Performed by Saloni Saraf and Aishwarya Rajarshi
The evening will also include some showcase performances by SBDC students

We continue our theme of collaboration on Performance Day 2, bringing you some outstanding dance jugalbandi performances and a specially created group dance.

Mohiniattam & Bharatnatyam jugalbandi: Performed by Upahaar School of Dance :

Jugalbandi of Kathak gharanas: Performed by Ashwini Kalsekar and Jaina Modasia

Specially commissioned Chhau group dance: Performed by senior SBDC students

A very special collaborative performance by Sujata Banerjee, flautist Shammi Pithia and tabla player Rajkumar Mishra
The evening will also include some showcase performances by senior SBDC students

Debate & Film: Sunday 3 November
Join us for a highly relevant debate on the subject of "Can dance be a full-time profession?". Hear from some of the practitioners in the field with experiences on both sides, and voice your own views too.
The debate will be followed by a film about the ultimate dance collaboration between Indian dance exponent Uday Shankar and Russian prima ballerina Anna Pavlova in the 50s. The film will include excerpts from the renowned 'Kalpana' movie and be introduced by Uday Shankar dance style artist Protima Chatterjee.
