Hemantika festival: Masterclasses 

As part of Hemantika, advanced Kathak practitioners (minimum 8-10 years Kathak experience) are invited for a week of masterclasses with Pandit Birju Maharaj between Monday 12 November to Saturday 17 November. 

The masterclass will focus on very detailed work on the ‘nuances’ of Kathak; physical and musical. Participants will enjoy live music accompaniment across all 5 evenings of the workshop. Please note there is no performance at the end of the masterclasses.

 

Dates:

Monday 12 November - 7.30pm to 9.30pm

Tuesday 13 November - 7.30pm to 9.30pm

Thursday 15 November - 7.45pm to 9.45pm

Saturday 17 November - 11am to 3pm (pls bring a packed lunch)

 

Venue: Shishukunj Bhavan, 25, 27 High St, Edgware HA8 7EE

(Nearest tube station - Edgware on the Northern line; Parking available behind venue)

 

Application: Please complete the application form and submit by Friday 19 October 2018 to hemantikafest@gmail.com. Last year's masterclass participants are not required to complete the form, but should email hemantikafest@gmail.com to apply.

Cost: £250 for all sessions. Individual sessions can be booked and cost £50 each, except for on the Saturday which is a double session and costs £100.

Full payment must be made by Tuesday 30 October via bank transfer only.
